Do you want to help in making a difference to a local historic gem that is brimming with history and that allows you to take a step back in time? Donations assist in preserving The Granger House Victorian Museum, and its adjoining carriage house.
Both the museum and the carriage house are on the National Register of Historic Places. Repair and restoration will follow the US Secretary of Interior Standards and Guidelines for Historic Preservation.
This preservation also allows us to continue our mission: "We exist to engage the community and to make Iowa’s past relevant to its present". We also strive to promote heritage tourism, by preserving a unique example of Midwestern middle-class family life in the 19th Century. By restoring the buildings and property, we also preserve the materials, and the craftsmanship, that created this community generations ago.
